Cash on Delivery Confirmation Call
View cash on delivery confirmation call results in the order list and history.
The Call
The call is turned on from the Voice call tab on the Notifications page, with the When a cash-on-delivery order is placed event. Voice calls are available on the Max plan.
15 minutes after a cash-on-delivery order arrives, your customer gets an automated call and presses 1 to confirm or 2 to cancel. If the call isn't answered, it's retried twice, 30 minutes apart. Calls due after 20:00 go out the next day at 10:00.
Note: A cancel is only shown on the order. Shipink doesn't cancel the order or its shipment automatically.
In the Order List
On the Orders page, the Payment column shows the payment method as text under the status: Pay on delivery, or Cash on delivery / Card on delivery when the payment type is known.
While a cash-on-delivery order is unpaid, the call result replaces the Pending status:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Confirmed by phone | The customer pressed 1. |
| Customer pressed cancel | The customer pressed 2. |
| Calling again | The call wasn't answered; another attempt is scheduled. |
| Not reached | The customer couldn't be reached. |
Once the order is paid, the column shows Paid again.
In the Order Timeline
Open the order to see each call in its timeline, such as Voice call placed and Customer confirmed the order by phone (1). The call made when the package goes out for delivery is listed the same way, for example Customer answered the out-for-delivery call.
